Event Description, Date, Time, and Locations
Sign up to volunteer and join the Farmington Area Jaycees and the Livonia Jaycees as we stuff a moving truck full of items that CARES of Farmington Hills needs to stock their pantry. People who are struggling to make ends meet may have access to a bridge card that helps with food for their families but it doesn't cover the cost of items that some of us take for granted such as toothpaste, dish soap, sponges, laundry detergent, deodorant, feminine products, and many other items. The Farmington Area Jaycees and Livonia Jaycees need your help! On 11/17 we will be at Target in Livonia stuffing a truck (donated by Men on the Move) full of items CARES of Farmington Hills needs to stock the shelves of their pantry. We are looking for volunteers to pass out our wishlist flyers to shoppers entering Target as well as help sort the donations. The mission of C.A.R.E.S. is to offer comprehensive support services for individuals and their families in and around the Farmington Hills area that are in need or have limited access to everyday necessities due to insufficient financial resources or family instability. C.A.R.E.S. will offer needed support in the areas of food, clothing, job education and training as well as access to other community and county support services – all on one campus. |
